HISTORY
The official history of Shady Dive Entertainment began in October of 2004, though the "founding fathers" of the troupe have seperately been up to crazy antics since the 90's.
Donald Shadian and Todd Dively met at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay in the fall of 2002. Yes, it is a little know fact, but UWGB is the midwest's premier academic institution for comedy writers and actors, so it was a likely place for the two to meet. Actually, despite the university's many theatrical accolades, meeting at UWGB was an odd twist of fate for the two.
Before meeting at UWGB, the two studied acting, improv and film in various institutions including Chicago's The Second City, ComedySportz and Players Workshop of the Second City. While at Green Bay, their first creative enterprise would be Snow Taxi in the Winter of 2002-2003. Snow Taxi was front page material on the newstands. The UWGB campus was getting a small dose of what was to come in the years to follow.
